Trusted Corporate Learning with Expertly Verified Online Content

Written by Toby Harris | Jul 24, 2024 3:03:20 PM

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down down with Raúl Bergen, the head of Verify by getAbstract to ask him some of the most burning questions about their exciting new offering. Verify is designed to find and verify the best publicly available web content for B2B corporate learning. With so many questions surrounding this new service, we decided to address some of the most common queries.

Interview highlights:

How is the content verified?

Raúl: Our verification process is built on getAbstract's 25 years of expertise. We leverage a network of over 2,500 subject matter experts who curate and verify free online content. These experts are instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the content we offer.

What system is used to verify content?

Raúl: We employ a three-point rating system, similar to the Standard & Poor's rating model. Each piece of content is rated from A (highest) to C (lowest) based on three criteria:

  • Content: We assess the factual accuracy and overall quality.
  • Author: We verify the author's credentials and contact them to confirm authorship, ensuring the rights situation is handled properly.
  • Source: We evaluate the trustworthiness of the source based on past publications.

Why is solving this problem important now?

Raúl: In 2024, the World Economic Forum declared misinformation and disinformation as the largest short-term threat to humanity. To combat this, we need to foster trust. Verify aims to open up the internet—the world's largest library—for learning purposes in a trusted manner.

What topics are focused on initially? Can organisations submit content for verification?

Raúl: Initially, we're focusing on leadership development, corporate wellbeing, and technology, including AI and sustainability. We verify up to 3,000 pieces a month, covering various formats such as videos, podcasts, articles, newsletters, and blogs. Clients can indeed submit their content for verification, and we usually provide results within a week, depending on the volume.

How can Verified content be integrated into existing systems?

Raúl: Verify integrates seamlessly into any Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP). By partnering with Filtered, we ensure that only the most relevant content, matched to your specific skills needs, is sent to your LMS or LXP. This prevents overwhelm and ensures your systems are not burdened with irrelevant information.

It's clear that this service will be invaluable for many organisations.
